Suzanne E. Burks
Author | Founder | Artist | Creator of The Renewal Effect™
I've spent much of my life building, leading, creating, and helping others move forward. My journey has taken me through corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, the arts, and some deeply personal life transitions. Each chapter has taught me something about change, resilience, and the importance of knowing when it's time to make a different choice.
But professional experience alone doesn't prepare us for everything life brings.
My own journey through recovery and renewal changed the way I thought about the years ahead. I began asking myself questions that I believe many accomplished women eventually face: What still matters to me? What needs to change? And how do I build a life that reflects who I am today?
Those questions led me to create The Renewal Effect™ and The Five Rs Framework™: Recover, Renew, Reconnect, Rebuild, and Rise.
I believe women bring extraordinary experience, wisdom, and strength into the second half of life. But even with everything we've accomplished, there are times when we need space to reassess our priorities, restore our sense of self, strengthen our relationships, and make thoughtful decisions about what comes next.
That's the work I'm committed to.
Through my writing, creative expression, practical tools, and opportunities for women to connect, I want to make renewal something we can explore, understand, and put into practice.
My belief is simple: Our past is part of our story, but it doesn't have to determine the life ahead.
